8 Nights of Haiku: a Holiday Project

Last summer, I typed and mailed bespoke haiku for people on my sweet little white typewriter. I had a blast--and we raised over $700 for Covid relief.

I've been wanting to try it again ... and there's no time like the (holiday) present! So: Need a gift for someone? Something personal, unique, and very lightweight? How about a personal haiku?

Just email me with your subject and your mailing address. When you receive your haiku, donate what you wish via the link I’ll send you. This time, I'm supporting the nonprofit organization for Black American poets, Cave Canem

You can request your very own haiku by emailing me. You also message me and see my highlight about this on Instagram.

My plan is to write one a day for eight days, and it’s my hope that the topics all come from other people! But just in case, I’ll have a dictionary on hand that I can dip in for random word prompts.

Hand-crafted haiku created in 2020.
